Choosing the right screw and barrel combination is critical for achieving optimal output quality, energy efficiency, and equipment longevity in plastic extrusion. 1. Material Type

Different polymers require different screw geometries. PVC processing demands specialized screw designs with lower compression ratios to prevent thermal degradation, while polyolefins (PE, PP) work well with general-purpose screws featuring higher compression ratios for efficient melting.

2. Screw Geometry
