The Challenge

A Saudi Arabian pipe manufacturer producing large-diameter HDPE water pipes experienced inconsistent wall thickness and low output rates. The existing single screw design was not optimized for their specific HDPE grade.

Our Solution

Nanhaiya designed a custom barrier screw with optimized compression ratio (3.2:1) and extended metering section. The new screw featured deep nitriding treatment and polished flights for minimum friction.

Results Achieved

Output increased 25% from 380 kg/h to 475 kg/h. Wall thickness variation reduced from ±8% to ±3%. Energy consumption per kg reduced by 15%.
